Monthly Bonsai Tips
June, July and August
-
Watering become the focus this
month and for the rest of the summer. Your trees should be
in full foliage by now and so they will require more
watering, Daily watering will become necessary for most
trees now and on really HOT days watering twice daily may be
necessary, but be sure to check each tree to be sure that it
needs watering.
-
Early Evening is considered by some to be
the best time for watering. This give your tree a chance for
a good drink before morning.
-
Continue your feeding plan until July.
Then hold off until September with the exceptions of
tropicals.
-
Check your wiring daily. Trees are in
there rapid growth phase and overlooked wiring can
result in some nasty marks on your trees.
-
Now is the time you should be checking
your tress daily for pest and diseases. This time of year it
won't take long for theses problems to spread if left
unchecked.
